Hi.

I just had to replay the first two chapters because the autosaves silently failed. After some troubleshooting I found out that my ~/.config/ was write protected and owned by root (I suspect that it was created like that by macports). I updated the permissions and now saving seems to work properly.

Are there any particular reasons why save files are stored in ~/.config and not in ~/Library/Application\ Support where OS X application usually stores local content?

I only can guess here, .config is probably the common savefile location for both Mac and Linux.

Yeah, save files are stored in ~/.config/ on both systems. It's not good that the save games fail silently, but I don't know if implementing a system for notifying the user when save games fail is the best use of RTGs time at this point. It must be a pretty rare issue.

But thank you for reporting the error.

Silently failing file operations is seldom a good thing, so a message on screen about the save failing (with an error code) sounds like a good idea to me.

But it's not exactly P1, I'd guess.
