Yay, it's started:) It will be fun! I want to see him try solving the Rubber Duckie puzzle...

I freaking love the game's intro (the Lady Alvane and the Guardian/Opening Credits part), especially "musically". I've occasionally put it on a loop (through a Youtube playthrough) in the background of doing other things.

Is he HONESTLY trying to find out whether the Lord of the Rings BOOKS could have been any inspiration for the tree spirit? Like "did the books actually come out before TLJ?".
As to the MOVIES, the answer is no.
TLJ 1999, The Two Towers 2002. Just sayin'.
(Come on, I'm not talking to myself here!)

Now when he said it, I had the moment of revelation that this game is fifteen years old. Amazing!

She wakes up when she's falling. Ragnar has probably used "Inception" as an inspiration for TLJ.

This guy isnt going to get anywhere in two hours, hes taking forever just to do the basics.
That was to be expected. But it's not really important to "get anywhere". If he manages to just elicit real interest in TLJ and stops just at the moment it gets REAL interesting, everything's perfect. He's playing around, he's investigating, that's what you do in TLJ.
The critical part is Fiona....

Back in the days there wasn't an in-game tutorial because you had to read about the controls on the printed manual, lol.
