I don't really see how. I mean, no disrespect meant at all, you're totally entitled to your opinion. But almost every forum I've ever used allows you to see who is browsing the same area of the forum as you, shows who's online, and lets you click through and see what any individual has posted, what they've liked, what topics they follow, etc. It's a community, an online social experience. That's how you get to know people, make friends, and also vet the people who may or may not be answering your questions to figure out how reliable they are (especially important in larger communities).
