@Ragnar So, here's the thing (sorry, quote function still not working for me.)
I am happy to support anything, in any form, that is TLJ related. Playing your games has, without overstating or dramatizing it, been a quasi-spiritual experience for me. So, I happily backed the game, and I don't regret it one bit.
THAT SAID... I like a game I can play through for hours and hours night after night, leave, come back to it the following night, and still have the comfort of knowing there's still a good ways to go before it's over... but that I don't have to wait weeks or months for the next part of. Episodic games simply do not give me the feeling of owning a complete product as I define it, and nothing anyone says will persuade me that a single chapter in an episodic format game will provide that intangible, unquantifiable, highly subjective feeling.
Yes, I'm one of those old school curmudgeons who didn't like it when DLC became a thing, and resisted even more strongly when episodic formats became a thing. (Yes, I have tried both the excellent Walking Dead, as well as Back To The Future and others... until complete, I can say with confidence, they're not for me.)
Given that this is the case, and given that I backed a complete product which was then changed to suit this new format... it's just a taste issue. Don't be "sad" about it. Be happy I gave you $50 and love your games enough TO wait that long and still have such dedication to experiencing them. Again, with all due respect (and gratitude.)
