We just had a wonderful visit from these lovely guys!

They brought us so much stuff! Everything from coffee, beer, cookies, to home baked muffins and fancy cheese! And even Svalbard fan art!

Seriously guys, this is so kind of you... We're at the office day and night these days and this means the world to us. Knowing that we have your support, and that you're thinking of us, really keeps us going. The first words uttered when they left our office was "Oh man, now we have to make it REALLY good" :)

A humble and sincere THANK YOU to everyone who made this happen, and an extra hug to Silje, Tina and Kristian for making the trip.

We were super happy to see some Svalbard art, but our art-director Christoffer in particular. It's going up on the wall! Thanks a lot Vainamoinen!

Much love and high-fives from all of us!

Martin

(Oddly enough, we didn't have to remove whatever we had on our screen this time, cause none of them wanted any spoilers. I even offered! :P )

The hardest part of doing these deliveries is carrying all that stuff up the flight of stairs up to your office :D all three of us deliverers had the day off work/school today, so we managed to get there a bit earlier in the day than the previous times. That's also why it was a Monday this time :)

We all appreciate how hard you're working! Thanks for letting us in :D

PS: I didn't know gravity was reversed at your office until I saw the picture xD

Thank you guys. This really means a lot. And thank you for taking this journey with us. You have been a huge source of inspiration and motivation.

And superb art Vainamoinen. Great colors and composition. So excited to see Svalbard fanart. Huzzah!

Well, you must have hit your head on the ceiling when you walked in, and again on the way out. That would explain the memory loss.

Like I said - we like doing this for you guys! :D

I mean, you work your asses off day after day to get this game out and have it be as good as we all think it will be. It has to be back-breaking work, no matter how much you love what you do. And you deserve recognition for that! This is the best way we know of to show you that we appreciate everything you do.

I can't speak for anyone else here, but I love giving people gifts. I get as much pleasure out of giving gifts as others get from receiving them, haha xD

So.. you're very welcome, all of you. You've certainly deserved a care package! :sohappy:

Hey, this care package was from everyone. Some people couldn't afford to donate to the cause, but that doesn't mean they're not involved.

The fact that you feel bad about forgetting means you were definitely in on this :sohappy:

so... just how was something like this organized and donations made?  I assume it was outside these forums since you could hardly do that and keep it a secret.

 ^This. 500% this.

Yeah, basically. We can't really post a thread about it without spoiling the surprise. (So people do get missed. Sorry if anyone feels left out, btw. But yeah. See above. And also you can always let someone know that you really want to be involved when/if we do something like this again.)

Usually someone (or a couple people) reaches out to one of the regulars who lives locally and can handle the "on the ground" work to see if it's possible. And then we sort of discretely ask around/spread the word via PMs or on social media or whatever other methods we have of contacting people to see who can help out and/or kick in a few bucks. And tell people to spread the word to anyone else who they think might be interested. ...And then people just Paypal money to someone doing the shopping, or send notes or whatever else they want to include (Like V's lovely art.)

Keep up the good works and thanks to all the moderators for their time to organize this.

I didn't organize this one! BLAME SOMEONE ELSE. :P And I was busy so I didn't look too closely to see who had or hadn't been contacted. (Especially since sometimes there are multiple conversations going at once since the forum caps how many people you can have on a single PM.)

Mea culpa, though. That was an oversight. I'll try to remember next time. >>;
