Hello RTG team !
I was sad to see that though I could happily play books 1 to 3, book 4 refuses to run on my computer. My computer runs GNU/Linux Debian Stretch/Sid x86_64.
Here is what the terminal outputs when running the binary:
Set current directory to /home/seb/Downloads/0_a_trier/DreamfallChapters Found path: /home/seb/Downloads/0_a_trier/DreamfallChapters/Dreamfall Chapters Mono path[0] = '/home/seb/Downloads/0_a_trier/DreamfallChapters/Dreamfall Chapters_Data/Managed' Mono path[1] = '/home/seb/Downloads/0_a_trier/DreamfallChapters/Dreamfall Chapters_Data/Mono' Mono config path = '/home/seb/Downloads/0_a_trier/DreamfallChapters/Dreamfall Chapters_Data/Mono/etc' displaymanager : xrandr version warning. 1.4 client has 2 screens displaymanager screen (0)(DVI-I-2): 1680 x 1050 Using libudev for joystick management Importing game controller configs Found /dev/input/event15 Mapping raw axis 0 to 0 Mapping raw axis 1 to 1 Mapping raw axis 2 to 2 Mapping raw axis 3 to 3 Mapping raw axis 4 to 4 Mapping raw axis 5 to 5 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b0.0 to b0 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b1.0 to b1 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b6.0 to b6 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping h0.4 to a7 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping h0.8 to a6 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping h0.2 to a6 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping h0.1 to a7 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b8.0 to b8 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b4.0 to b4 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b9.0 to b9 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping a2.0 to a2 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping a0.0 to a0 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping a1.0 to a1 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b5.0 to b5 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b10.0 to b10 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping a5.0 to a5 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping a3.0 to a3 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping a4.0 to a4 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b7.0 to b7 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b2.0 to b2 Microsoft X-Box 360 pad: Mapping b3.0 to b3 Assigning joystick 1 Abandon
Should I take the xrandr warning seriously? The installed version is 1.5.0-1.
Let me know if you need additional information, I would really like to play book 4 :-)
Regards,
seb-ksl
Edit: btw, the last line of the output, "Abandon" means "abort" in french.

Quick way to tell if it's an issue related to xrandr: If you unplug the second screen does the game run? I don't have two screens myself, but I'm aware that there are quite a few games which do have issues with that sort of thing on Linux.
Well the funny thing is that I have only one screen plugged in (and always had).
I even tried removing my somewhat fluffy xorg.conf to let the system auto-configure everything, but the problem remains the same.
Additional information if relevant : my GPU is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 and I run the proprietary drivers (nvidia-kernel-dkms)

I have a GTX 760 with the 358.16 drivers and the game works fine for me. I don't have much further to suggest than the usual check you're on the latest drivers.
Nah I was still running the 340.96 drivers, so I updated to 358.16 but no change.
Thanks for you help anyway!
Someone from the RTG team? It's kind of frustrating that I was able to play the first three books and got stuck there :-(

Nope, running Alsa.
If I understood correctly Unity 5 does not yet fall back to Alsa properly when PulseAudio is missing, right? Which means I should install PulseAudio and enjoy audio managers conflicts, yeeha :-/
I'll try that tomorrow, thanks for the catch!
