Yeah, last night was awful. I gave up on checking it because it was taking so long to load.
Today seems better. I wasn't sure if it was something like that or if it was about to go down and they'd have to reach out to their hosting service again.

It was down a while this morning with an SQL error.Today seems better. I wasn't sure if it was something like that or if it was about to go down and they'd have to reach out to their hosting service again.

Last evening (around midnight for most of you), the web page locked my Internet Explorer. An SQL Server error message was displayed which looked like viral activity - although I haven't found a virus on my computers in more than 10 years. When I reset my browser, the same error message would be displayed when ever I tried to access the Forum. I assumed that something corrupted my servers and I restored Windows 8.1 (64) from an Acronis image. I needed to update the operating system and create a new image anyway. I maintain Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 in my computer.

The SQL Server error is a problem with the site, it's not a problem with your computer. It's something that happens if the backend SQL server doesn't answer the front end application server.
Windows has memory/reset issues. Turning the computer on an off would not reset Windows servers regarding the web page. That is why I had to restore from an image.

The error message I received said that it was a Host issue.
True but if the machine is applying updates or whatever, that could take down MySQL temporarily, displaying an error from the web server side. Either way, I hope someone's looking into it

Ps: I added "forum" to the title. Hope that's okay. I thought the thread was about game performance initially (I always browse from "new posts" which doesn't say the sub-forum) so I thought it would be good to have forum in there.

LOL, I just had the SQL error message for the past 30 min. or so. It's beginning to look more and more like a dB problem. I've seen this happen a number of times when a hard drive develops bad sectors or outright fails and once, but only once, when a SCSI RAID card failed. But who knows, it could be something else, like the dB drive getting filled up by log or cache files.
If at first you don't succeed, do it like your mother told you.

Well, since it's slooooooowwwww again, I popped on RTG's Twitter to see if there was any (new) info posted. It looks like they were Tweeting yesterday about the slowness specifically in relation to the issues they've had with their hosting service.
I know very little about all of this stuff, but at least the team is aware and looking into the issue.
