I have consulted the FAQ, including the part concerning the saved games and choices.

The indication in the FAQ does not correspond to what I find on my Mac, so I would like to know it what I find corresponds to all that  is written.

My saved game/choices end with Book 2.

My mac is running El Capitan 10.11.2

Below a screenshot of the folders that I have found.

Does anyone know if this is complete (some of the folders contain many files.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can clarify for me.

I believe the storyflags.data + Autosave directory should contain all your post Book 2 data. Your book one saves might still be in the book one location, which is in the faq with strike thorough (the first of them).

Thanks a lot.

Do you know by any chance if the save game part is a unity feature, or a specific RTG developed solution?

I don't know for sure, no. I would guess that it's mostly RTG's own specific solution, but I haven't looked into what (if anything) Unity offers in the way of save game functionality and saving states.

If the game was downloaded from the Apple App Store then it must be sandboxed and all files the app writes will be in the Users/****/Library/Containers directory.  On my mac the save game files are in:

Users
    *******
        Library
            Containers
                com.redthreadgames.dreamfallchaptersmac
                    Data
                        Library
                            Application Support
                                com.redthreadgames.dreamfallchaptersmac
                                    Autosave

The directory Users/****/Library is normally hidden.  To open it go to the Finder, hold down the alt/option key, pull down the Go menu and select Library.

This may be different on the steam version.  For apps not using sandboxing the files might be found in the Users/****/Library/Application Support directory.

After writing the above I looked at the DFC files on an older iMac running OSX 10.7 Lion and it's different.  Here I find the files under:

Users
    *******
        Library
            Containers
                com.redthreadgames.dreamfallchaptersmac
                    Data
                        Library
                            Caches
                                com.redthreadgames.dreamfallchaptersmac
                                    Autosave
