On the picture, I'd guess it's a texture seam or something like that.

Boooooring! :P :D

I don't even know where to begin with this train wreck...

I don't even know where to begin with this train wreck...

Yeah...slight tangent...

For the record: I did look up the name. "String(s)" seems to be the definitive (it was annoying me). That has to be one of the stranger things I've had to look up while reading this forum...

Yeah, "string" is the technical term.

In fact, the only actually technical term associated with tampons that I can think of is "applicator."

I was not expecting my post to go that way but it made me laugh anyway. :)

I suppose those markings are texture seams and not scars from surgery or something related to her coma.

If it didn't have a blue tinge, I'd say maybe just a stretch mark. :P

I feel like it's probably a vein or a seam.

I mean, come on. If it was a tampon, she wouldn't be wearing white. That's just asking for trouble.

I was wondering, will the bug report tool be staying in the final release (maybe hidden from the menu, but with the Ctrl+B key combo still working)?

I'm sure the women among us are laughing their heads off at this conversation but to be fair, it's not an area a guy would have much cause to be familiar with :)

Well they are practical for men as well. They are great for stopping a nose bleed. But yeah... that stringy thingy can be a bit annoying then

I suppose it could be since the markings are on both thighs? I am not familiar with the subject. If Zoë had given birth to another being, that would make DFC even more intriguing...

Doubt it but it'd be nice :) Maybe if they left it in and you ran the game with a command line parameter to turn it on?

Valiant attempt at getting us back on topic. ;)

Yeah, when Randy was a camp counselor they kept them around for reasons like that.

That would be an interesting twist. ...Though you don't need to have given birth to get stretch marks. A lot of people get them during puberty, for example. Or...say if she was in a coma and lost a ton of weight/muscle mass and then bulked back up rather quickly. ;)

They really don't look like that, though. I'm really thinking it's either supposed to be a vein or is just a weird texturing deal. ...But I'd be happy to be wrong and have it be something more interesting.

From the post that Pawlo_86 links above:

Here are the latest changes in this version:

  • Fixed broken reflection probes after using ALT-TAB in full-screen mode. (Please help us test this fix by running the game in full-screen and alt-tabbing back and forth between the game and your desktop)
What's a reflection probe? What are we looking for here?

We're probably just looking for broken or missing reflections after alt-tabbing.

I don't know for sure, but I would guess that a reflection probe is basically just a second camera that get's positioned so as to capture what a surface should show if it were reflective - since true reflection isn't really something you can do in a game engine without an unreasonable amount of work (processing power).
