Dreamfall Chapters MacOS: Saving The Game State Before a Replay

If you go back to an auto-saved game in order to see the consequences of making different choices you loose any subsequent progress made the first time through.  In order to go back to the original game state you have to preserve the state of the game.  This is stored in the folder com.redthreadgames.dreamfallchaptersmac in the user's ~/Library/Containers folder.  So:

1.  In the Finder press and hold the alt/Options key, pull down the Go menu and select the Library folder.

2.  In the Library folder select the Containers folder.

3.  Create a New Folder using the File menu and rename it com.redthread.SAVES.

4.  Press and hold the alt/Options key and drag the com.redthreadgames.dreamfallchaptersmac folder into your newly created ...SAVES folder.  A copy of the dragged folder and all its files is made.

You may then launch Dreamfall Chapters and replay from a saved game.  At any time you can go back to the original game state by moving the saved com.redthreadgames.dreamfallchaptersmac folder from the ...SAVES folder to the Containers folder.
