Book Three is LIVE on Steam! (And coming

soon to GOG, Humble Store)

 

Dreamfall Chapters Book Three: Realms has arrived!

 

The game will update automatically via the Steam client. Visit your account page on

GOG or Humble to check if the update files are available there. It might be a little while

before they publish their versions.

 

Please note that the German and French localised versions are not yet available. We're

working on it, and we'll let you know as soon as they are ready.

 

We'll return with another update tomorrow. For now, enjoy Book Three!

Yes. As has been said a few times at this point, people will post when Humble updates. I'll be trying to keep an eye on it, too, though given HB's track record, I wouldn't expect it to happen before tonight Pacific Time. 

 

Hopefully they'll prove me wrong! But yeah. Eyes are peeled. People are in a frenzy. There will be posts when HB and GOG are running properly.

I'm a bit confused if it's already out on GOG or not. GOG told me a update have been made, but I don't know which of the files I'm suppose to download, or if it's not ready yet. Got three files called Dreamfall Chapters part 1-3

GOG released the update.

It requires to redownload the entire game (all 3 files apx 5+ GB)

I too want to know about GOG. My book 2 exe files are 2.4.0.6. The current files on GOG are 2.6.0.8. Is that book 3? I'm not sure because i didn't check GOG and didn't download any patches, after i downloaded book 2. Anyway, i'm downloading the 2.6.0.8 files just in case. 

 

EDIT: Crowboy ( or whoever knows ), what's the number of the updated exe files?

I don't understand GOG... I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Tempted to buy the Steam version (50% off today) 

 

I keep getting "Try Galaxy" when I try to download... but in Galaxy it says "Not available".

 

Honestly I have started to RESENT GOG

 

Edit: ok a quick visit to the GOG forums solved my problem: "To fix this, use click here to refresh your games library: https://www.gog.com/user/refresh"

From what RTG said last time around, GOG chooses whether or not to release the update as a patch or as a whole new install. And it seems like they've been doing the latter because they can get it up quicker, among other reasons. :/ I know it's annoying, though. Hopefully with some of the stuff GOG is doing, that will change in the future.

Anyone knows how to see which chapter is available for download on Humble? (not only now but in a general fasion)

It's not up on Humble yet. Humble is usually the last to update. They also replace the entire installer. 

 

You can still find the old backers humble page, which lists the date of the files. You have to go through the keys till you find one for Dreamfall Chapters, then click on the "Dreamfall Chapters ($x tier)" link below the title.

 

From there, it should list the last updated date below the download link. When that updates (and the file size presumably goes up) then it'll have updated. 

 

EDIT: Oh, and the trailer doesn't seem to be out yet. They said sometime today, but...who  knows. Could be delayed. Ragnar said the trailer had spoilers, though, so some people may not want to watch it until after playing (which...seems weird, but...there you go...) 

 

Third trailer is supposed to be next week.

3,9 GB on Steam. I hate my slow internet connection. Won't be able to play it before Saturday.
