I don't believe that RTG should switch mid development, nor are graphics and the engine is the most important part of a game, but it is nice to see the new developments in graphics technology. Considering the fact that the engine for this game is Unity 4, it relates to this game.  I am curious if TLJ Home will be made with it.

New engines are always interesting to see. I'm sure that DFC would look better would Unity 5, however I still think that Unity 4 delivers a lot.

Can't play because of bugs or want to watch just ONE of many ways to play the game?

I figure they have the experience and would know if it is feasible or not to upgrade. I'm always for an upgrade if it doesn't add significantly to the cost of production.

While many people here like the idea that they are doing TLJH in 2D, I am not one of them & I don't care what engine they use for it.

They wont be looking to add new features to the game at this point. It would mean a total rework of textures.
That doesn't mean they cant upgrade to unity 5, I assume its back compatible with previous projects.

Just watching the rezzed live stream, looks like they plan to upgrade to unity 5 to overcome the limitations of a 32bit client/editor.
That should raise the ram ceiling over 3gig at least.

On the topic of upgrading with Unity, we're usually applying every update of the engine, making sure nothing in-game gets broken in the transfer. As will surely be the case when Unity 5 comes out.

Also looking forward to the 64-bit compatibility update. Unity is crashing way too often these days..

With the recent announcement I think it will be more likely that at least the later episodes will be made with Unity 5. Hopefully.
