I am in Propast, where I enter the vent and I see Abby.  After observing and talking to her a couple times, I started examining my items but when I looked at this one, I got stuck and couldn't close the screen using either my controller nor my keyboard.  I primarily use my 360 controller to play this game.  I had to force close the game.

Seems pretty weird.

Has this happened to you more than just this one time? If you encounter the issue again it would be interesting to know what we can do to try to reproduce the issue ourselves. Also, it would maybe help us to look at the game's log file should it happen again, alongside some of your system specs.
