So, I just started out and am doing the Mole's quest. I intercepted the messenger and now he just stands there and I can't interact with him. I can leave for half an hour and come back and there he stands, asking me "can I help you?". But I can't reply, open a dialouge or anything.

Is it bugged or am I missing something? Do I need to do something else first in order to progress?

If I am, no spoilers please, just tell me "yep. you're missing something". ;)

It might be bug. Did you lure him to a dark corner?

No way to do that. He just...stands.

I was just going to make a topic about this myself. I was running around Marcuria, wondering why I hadn't seen anybody running, and I just saw him, standing there, not moving. I only noticed him because he said "can I help you?" and I was startled at somebody being able to see me.

Reloaded, and he was still there, standing at the exact same place, not moving. I still have the 'blow up the stockpile' mission to do, but I can't do anything until this runner moves.

I took a screenshot, and can explain the location - he was on the first path north of the Azadi section with what looked like bulls, and shortly down the street to the right.

I have found a way to lure him, but I, apparently, haven't found the correct 'magical' corner to lure him into, cause he just takes off running again. As a small hint, he will take off as soon as you move far enough away from him.

Without giving anything particular away, I don't think you're approaching the problem the right way.

As far as I can tell, all of you. Though I'm not 100 % sure about you.

But if the messenger doesn't move at all (as in, you cannot "release" him by walking away from him), then that would be a bug, afaik.

As for the "luring" thing, I was deceived by the word at first. It was more "trick" than "lure", if my understanding of those words are correct.

Like I said, I can get him to follow me. If that's what I'm supposed to get him to do, it appears I need to find the right place to lead him to before confronting him.

Yeah, that's not the way you're supposed to do it.

If Kian were to present the messenger with something, but not let him have it until the messenger had followed Kian to a specific place, that would be 'luring': i.e. the promise of something if he follows Kian.

If Kian were to dress up as an Azadi guard and confront the messenger, and take the message as though he was supposed to have it, that would be 'tricking'.

Or conning?

So much for that hypothesis..... so sad.

Actually, it's manipulation. In at least one sense.

Well, that would be what I have called the "dragging bug", which confused me and made me message one of the devs last night to figure out what to do next :P

Conning, tricking.... pretty much synonymous. Conning is really just a specific kind of tricking.

Yes. And what you need to do is not conning, but still tricking. ;)
