I don't think I'll ever be able to refer to it as anything other than "Cave of Fuckery" again. Like, as far as I'm concerned, that's its new official name. Someone update the Wiki.

You forgot some type of inflatable avian made of elastic material!  ;)

No rubber duckies were hurt or even alluded to during the making of that comment, quite purposefully. The conceptual flaw of the rubber ducky challenge was more deeply rooted, less avoidable than the three examples I mashed up above... it was a motherfucker of a puzzle, but at least the ducky tried to fly! Broke its wings on the way down though.

Oh shoot now I'm reminded of five ducklings that, after hatching and playing for weeks right there, leaped from a collegue's balcony last year. Not a happy ending for the entire family, I tell you.

Errrrrrr meantersay: I'm rooting for the ducky!

I don't think I'll ever be able to refer to it as anything other than "Cave of Fuckery" again. Like, as far as I'm concerned, that's its new official name. Someone update the Wiki.

I thought about that. In earnest. Not as in: "change official name", more as in: "Trivia section". Including Ragnar's comment that he intends to use that name.

Liking for the uh... wiki editing. Not the uh... ...other thing.

I'd do it, but I don't know how to Wiki.

As for puzzles, I don't have much to add. I still haven't gotten to the crate pushing section. Partly because of a lack of gumption. Partly because I'm afraid I'll either run into issues or find it enjoyable and either way I'll feel all of you silently judging me. :P

I understand, and it's extra difficult because of the reference list and the links and the digging and...

...oh wait. ;)

Perhaps he literally intends to use it, in the sense that whenever April appears again (DFC or TLJH) she'll mention it as such.

Back to those onesies - if one sleeps in them, are there, you know ... crotchless onesies?

Certainly hope so, otherwise call from mother nature could be... problematic.

I don't know about that but I have seen ones with buttflaps. ;)

Googled "crotchless onesie".

I think I'll call it a day.

Right?

Every time I look away it gets better/worse.

...Though I don't know how optimistic I am that a new update will lead to more topical discussion. I know us.

I was promised Kian in his skivvies in Book Two. By Ragnar. And if he was lying to me, I'm booking a flight to Oslo. :P

Geez, that one had me scratch my head.

To us Aussies a skivvy is what you call a turtle neck. I guess what you were looking for is the term "budgy smugglers". Exhibit A. Or do you want to see him in a turtle neck?

That reminds me of the time when we went to Hawaii for a holiday and my Mrs was walking around the shops looking for thongs asking every shop assistant who said they didn't sell any. It took us a couple of hours to figure out why everyone was a bit shy on this topic. What we call thongs is what you call a beach slipper. Exhibit B.

Hah! I'm normally pretty good about the various slang terms in English that are different in different parts of the world, but that's a new one.

Though now that I know the term "budgy smugglers" I'll be using it. Such evocative imagery.

In the U.S. "skivvies" just means generic underpants. Or an undershirt + underpants.

I've heard the thong thing. Here we call them flip-flops, though. Or occasionally thong sandals. I've never heard beach slipper. But when I was a cashier, sometimes they'd shorten it, so I'd ring up a pair and it would just come up as like "Mens Thong - XL" and I'd have a giggle.

When thong sandals from Asia first appeared in this country, they were called thongs. I still think of them as thongs. I haven't experienced confusion between sandals and panties because the context usually makes the meaning obvious..
