I hope they're at least using the skyway in some form in future Books. It's part of the Seshadri building and usually has black men patrolling. ;)

Thanks for these, Kari2. I have a very similar favourite screenshot of the river and Queenie's boat - just gorgeous!

Funny thing about the shadow people is they walked up and down the west bank but they were behind stuff and you could only see them if you glitched across to look.

Spoiler

Maybe this was for some programming reason like they had to be rendered somewhere walkable in the scene, then were mirrored up in the skyway?

I could see them just fine from across the river (before they got removed for performance reasons). They spawed behind some well places blocks, and then walked across an open gap.

Might be something to do with the draw distance settings, i've always had them on max.

My most recent screenshots were taken in v1.1.2 with the "high" setting. I will have to check v1.1 (it only takes a minute to switch versions).

I believe they were included in 1.0, but removed in 1.1 as they proved surprisingly resource intesive. Ragnar stated that they'll be looking into ways of bringing them back without adversely impacting performance, but personally I wouldn't expect to see that before a book where we return to spend large parts of it in Europolis.

Ah I must have not noticed them before. Makes more sense for them to have been visible normally!

They were in v1.1 also, here are some screenshots.

I like this one because it's, you know, symbolic or whatnot. She's a Shadow. The True Self.

I agree, if I understand what you are saying. Zoe must embrace herself, accept her past short-comings, to be able to move forward.

That's a good one. I had no problem figuratively embracing past Zoƫ, since I loved her to bits in Dreamfall. My literal attempts fell short when I couldn't find the button for it though.

Those are excellent. I wanted to take one of the graffiti, but I couldn't find a good angle.

When I was trying to run the game on my old machine (which ran 32-bit Win XP), I had all these floating objects (briefcases, guns, etc.) in Europolis...at first I thought maybe it was by design.  But it was just that either the models or the textures of the people carrying them hadn't been loaded because of insufficient memory.

When I have had similar experiences in Win XP, it was do to the GPU's 3D rendering limitations. If it were memory, full rendering should be present at a reduced game resolution (800 x 600).
